• There is one creator God who is eternal, holy, wise, and just. He exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  • God has revealed Himself in the Bible. The Old and New Testament were written by human authors, who were inspired by God. The Bible is fully reliable and is a living word, as God speaks through it to believers.

  • Men and women are created equally in God's image. We are created to love God. Because we have rebelled, and are sinners, we need God's forgiveness and to be reconciled to Him.

  • Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin by the Holy Spirit, and lived a sinless life. He taught with complete truth and authority. He died on a cross for our sins, taking our place, and bearing God's punishment. He was resurrected from the dead and ascended to heaven where he is Lord of all.

  • Salvation comes from the grace of God. It cannot be earned or deserved. It has been accomplished through Jesus, and is offered to all by the gospel. God forgives repenting sinners, who are justified and granted eternal life by faith alone.

  • The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus. He calls sinners to repent, and gives a true understanding of the Bible. He lives in all believers, gives an assurance of salvation, and makes us more like Christ. He builds up and equips the Church.

  • The Church is the body of Christ. It is a fellowship of believers who are committed to each other and to God. The Church exists for the preaching of the word, baptism, prayer, and for the Lord's supper; for pastoral care and discipline, and for evangelism.

  • Baptism and the Lord's supper are visible signs of the gospel. Baptism is a symbol of union with Jesus, and the emblems of the Lord's supper remember the 'once and for all' sacrifice he made.

  • Jesus will return in glory. He will judge the living and the dead justly. Repenting sinners will be welcomed into eternal fellowship with God, whereas the wicked will be lost. God will make all things new and will be glorified forever.
